Costa Rica Trip 2015 Day 1 - Crocodiles at Tarcoles River

My last trip to Costa Rica was back in 2008, so as you can imagine, it was a well overdue trip for me. This year, I shot over 200GB of HD video and RAW photos during our 11-day-trip to Costa Rica. These are just a few pictures of the first day on our way to the beach to Punta Leona at the Tarcoles river bridge.

Located about halfway between the country's main airport in the capital of San Jose and the popular Pacific beach town of Jaco, the bridge is the go-to pit stop for travelers making the journey. After buying some chilled coconut water and souvenirs most tourists will make the short walk down the bridge to snap photos of the river's sunbathing American crocodiles.  Some of these were as big as 17 feet. Amazing! Wildlife at its best.
